Teenie Moment for...

.........Coldplay. For real. I was screaming, flailing, going absolute crazy. Because OH MY GOD they were fucking amazing! Ah, for real. They make me go nuts and die. My mom was like, how old is he? And we found out he's 31. My mom's pissed that I'm closer in age. When he breaks up with Gwyneth, I am SO there. I'd be a great stepmom. For real.

alkfjl;sdkjfl;asdkjflksdjfl;asdkfasdkl;fjl;jfasdklrfjnimcl; Coldplay.

That is my feeling towards them. LOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEE.

The Greatest Word to Come Out of Chris Martin's Mouth

Fuck.

It really was. He said it twice at the concert I attended, and I smiled like an idiot when he said that.

Alright, I guess I'll start from the beginning with the saga of the Coldplay concert.

May 16th - The day of the Q Concert. Ten o'clock. I anxiously buy tickets to the June 29th concert at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. Pretty decent seats. I go on to have a great time at the concert and scare Kevin Jonas.

June 11th - New York. I was there to see the Camp Rock Premiere. We get lost in Brooklyn, but before that I get a call from my dad. Coldplay's production crew is simply not ready to perform a concert yet. They postpone the concert to July 25th, the same day as the Jonas Brothers concert in Hershey.

June 12th-July 24t - Am wracked with decision. I blog about it a lot. But ultimately decide on the Jonas Brothers because of the cost, and the idea of a four day party with Jenn and Sam.

July 25th - I attend the Jonas Brothers concert. Have an amazing time. Never once felt guilty about not going to Coldplay.

July 26th - Bitch on Q102 rants and raves about the awesomeness of the Coldplay concert the night before. I am pissed, but the Jonas Brothers Rolling Stone magazine helps heal some of the blow.

August 11th - I check my Facebook, as per usual. A new update. Coldplay has added four new shows to their tour. I get a little excited. I read. November 1st - Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, PA. I scream. I also dance. My father can attest. I couldn't stop dancing. Prayers answered. :D

August 18th - I get the tickets. Section 7, Row 3. I dance some more.

November 1st - After a grueling almost six months, me and my mother head to Philadelphia. We unknowlingly pass the future loser of the Presidential race on his way to a semi-funny SNL skit.

Around 6:30 - We arrive at the stadium. Dolores, the wonderful GPS system gets us there with only one incident. Better than the previous time(April 6th, 2006 - Chris was sick, and his son Moses was born two days later. Very lucky) We pay $12 to park. I stand anxiously in a crowd, bag ready to be checked.

About 7:00 - Ticket scanned. Bag not checked.
We proceed to merch stand. My mother pushes me into people. I spend $108 on two tshirt, stickers, another poster, and a program. Then we buy Broadwalk fries. My mom slightly flirts with a black guy to get us to our seats.

7:15 - We are in our seats. Great seats. My mom and me eat the fries, then each get a cotton candy. I make sure to not have my fingers get sticky. My mom doesn't. She proceeds to get a second one. We watch as some couple get kicked out of their "seats." It's funny.

7:30 - Duffy begins her set. I scream. And piss off the people in front of me. I scream more.

Somewhere between 7:30 and 8:05 - People boo Duffy. I tell them to fuck off. I scream louder. my voice was already going. But I still tell them to shut up and I scream even louder for my girl Duffy.

7:55 - I call Finnish Spitz to play supposedly "Mercy." Wrong song. I quickly but not very quickly hang up.

8:00 - I call Finnish Spitz again, this time for "Mercy." It's an awesome song. I die.

8:45 - Coldplay plays a rap song before they come on. Only they would do that.

8:50 - Coldplay puts a classical song on. I giggle more.

9:00-ish - Coldplay comes on. I scream a lot more. The girl next to my mom also screams a lot. We go into a screaming match that she doesn't know about. To me, I win.

9:00-9:55 - Amazing concert. I'm grooving out, screaming, taking some great pics.

9:55 - Coldplay has two side catwalks. They go on the one closest to me, and proceed to get off, and walk down the aisle. I shove my way to the edge. I'm practically molesting a security woman to touch them. I'm inches away. I die. I was in the presence of greatness.

Sometime in the concert - Chris Martin reads the newspaper, congratulates the Phillies. We all erupt in screams. He dedicates a song to the Phillies. Then another, a sad one, to the Rays. He also goes off on how he was in Ohio, and there were no plumbers. They were all doing interviews and conferences. "The Hardest Part" is dedicated to Ohio's residents in need of plumbers.

10:17 - "Lovers In Japan" starts. A very awesome song. It is the new single. Download the video. I believe it's still free.

10:19 - Climax of song, confetti flies out and falls to to the crowd. It is in actuality butterflies floating down. Amazing feeling. I later collect a bunch of them.

10:25 - Coldplay takes their bow. I get the greatest fucking pic. Jonny Buckland, guitarist, is wearing a Fightin Phillies tee that I go nuts over. Chris previously wore a white shirt with a red V, like in "Viva la Vida" font. Will Champion, drummer, who sang a song in the crowd(after "The Scientist") wore a white shirt, with the number 42 on it. That is the name of the fourth song on their fourth cd.

10:28 - Longest three minutes of my life. Coldplay finally comes out for their encore. "Yellow," their first hit(but their second single off their first cd), is played. I die some more.

10:32 - The concert finally ends. I somehow still have a voice. Ah.

Thus ends my extensive delivery of one of the greatest concerts EVER. :) Pictures to come later.

Bbs, My Bbs Did My Other Bbs' Song

FYI, I really love the term "bbs" right now. I just do. It's like this odd obsession. I kinda love the internet talk, tbh. Oh there I go again. I need to stop. I really do. Someone slap me everytime I do an internet speak thing. B/c I'm obsessed. Oh damn there I do it again. It can't be stopped. Instead of word vomit, I have like, slang vomit. Yep, slang vomit. I'm copyrighting (or is it copywrite? At the present time, I am way too damn lazy to look it up) it. Bb is Baby right? For a while I thought it was bitches. Which doesn't make sense. Idk(DAMN IT! Rack up another slap for me) why I thought that exactly, but I did. I'm weird.

Oh right. I did have a meaning to this blog. I need to stop reading ONTD's comments. They are just goddamn malicious. They really are. And definitely against the Jonas Brothers. It's getting to be fucking annoying. I mean, I get it. You don't need to post a million times how much you hate them. I really need to stop reading the comments. Because it's all hate. New rule for me: no more reading the comments...but it's allowed if I hate the person the post is about. :)

Oh darn, went off the topic again(and just took twenty minutes to read Jonas Secrets), but here we go. The actual purpose of this blog.

Jonas Brothers Covering Coldplay.

And in contrast to annoying as shit ONTD posters, I enjoyed it. I really did. I mean, Joe couldn't hit the same notes that Chris Martin can, but really, it was a good cover. I'd post a video of it, but there's a few and a lot of screaming. Just search 'Jonas Brothers Fix You'. Really, I love when bands do covers. I mean, it's the biggest form of a compliment. Now I'm waiting for Coldplay to cover Jonas. That would actually be hilarious. They have covered Madonna. But Jonas and Madonna are a lot different from each other. Just a little. But really I loved them covering Coldplay. Because they thought about it. They practiced it(on their live cam thing yesterday, they had a video of them practicing) and really, they value Coldplay as a great band.

My life is complete. <3

Hazy, Here I Am!

So today I totally moved into my room. It was a sorta long and I had to deal with my parents and yeah. But my nephew came and that made the day. Apparently he found a cute guy for me. I don't know. My mom may have been smoking something. She did say this guy was hotter than Jonas. And that's like saying there's someone more like me than me. Yeah, it just doesn't make sense.

Anyways, I took a bunch of pictures to show off my sexy room. I put up all my posters and everything, and I feel like I've been here a year and my roommate just moved in when my roommate moved her yesterday and I just got here today. Haha.

Without further adu, my room:

My side vs. my roommate's side. :) I win for messiest.

My roommate's side. So plain. No offense, though. Just new.
And my room. Very like, ADD. Like, what do you look at first? I have no clue.
My plain dresser. I don't know if I get that wall yet. Maybe I'll put something up. I'm thinking mirror at most. Or Jonas. Who knows.
The full overview. ;0
My closet. My mom was in the closet all day. Only Jenn's mom could get her out of the closet. Ah, bad gay jokes. I'll be burning in hell.
Hey, who's that loser posing in the mirror? Oh that's just me.
My dresser. It's clean now, but eventually, eventually, it will be a mess. John Taylor glasses!
First wall part. Playboy bunny thing that finally got hung(only took half a year), Marilyn that kept falling, Toby! office calendar, half of this kickass centerpiece, Hannah Montana, and the Office again. Oh and you can see my desk too. Frames, printer junk. haha.
All of my desk, and above. Harry Potter, and Beatles(which has since fallen down and I'm waiting to find something better to put it up with, a little bit of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist poster which I have two of, one is a present for my Finnish Spitz. And there's my whole desk. Very junky, and lots of frames. The bulletin board behind the comp is yucky. Very yucky.
Demi poster! framed and signed, my awesome shelving unit that I bought and my daddy put together, and gossip girl things I put together, microwave and fridge, Jonas and there's Coldplay and more Jonas, and an artsy photo and Audrey Hepburn! :) Oh and my bed.

Audrey and the Beatles, and Jonas, Knocked Up, Superbad, Little Miss Sunshine, and a bunch of others. Stuffies! I love Pudge, my cow. Best stuffy ever. Oh, spot the random photo of not famous people!I love this wall. First one I did. Very proud of. Got Beatles, Office, Jonas, and Seyfried! Woot! And Pudge! Go Pudge for posing very seductively in the pic. And there's my door. Pretty huh?

So that is it! my new room. Ah, I can't believe Fall is actually here. Bring on Jonas, man, bring it on.

Coldplay '08: Take Two

I got tickets this time, and I WILL be seeing them. As much as I wanted the other seats I had the first time I got tickets today, timing refused to give them to me, so it is a sign I am meant to have the seats I have I suppose. Oh who cares. I'm going!!!! :)

WOAH!!!

Coldplay announced another Philadelphia tour date. YES!!! Prayers do come in handy!!!!! Yay!

Ask my dad, I did a pretty awesome dance.

Fuck You Liam Gallagher. FUCK YOU.

Dear Liam Gallagher,

I get that you and your brother were in like, this awesome ass band, and you don't really Radiohead and Coldplay. Like, I get that. But don't be a pussy and make fun of fans. A lot of Coldplay fans probably like your music, but how dare you call us "boring and ugly." Fucking assholes. You're past your prime. Go fuck youself. And I meant to keep the r out. BAM.

Sincerely,

Boring and Ugly Coldplay fan.

Miley Cyrus and a 16 y/o Chris Martin - Sounds Killer

So I just read that Miley Cyrus would all be for a 16 year old Chris Martin. So would I, dear. SO. WOULD. I. But that would be illegal for me. So he'd have to age a bit.

But man, what is up with this Coldplay/Miley Cyrus back and forth talking about each other? Makes me feel awesome to be a fan of both. sigh.

Why does Virgin have to be closing???

At least I think it is. Well, someone told me this before. I don't know if it still is. But I love that place. So big. And it has Beatles stuff and Playboy things in the same place. That's like my heaven. All they need is some Jonas stuff and I'll be happy. They had Viva La Vida on vinyl. Do you know how close I was to buying that? Man, 20 dollars. Good thing I didnt, because I later did have to borrow money, and I'm sooo broke. I would be even more broke. If that's possible. There's like 8 dollars to my name. Though I do have a paycheck just waiting for me. I'm contemplating waiting for it til Friday so I can have two checks. :D That would be awesome.

Please, someone answer: is Virgin Megastore still closing?

Validation!

So Chris Martin apparently introduced Coldplay as "the Jonas Brothers...........older brothers." Wow. Wow. Wow. Yes! That's all I can say. I mean, Chris Martin really doesn't say anything at a concert in derogatory terms, so that was an amazing joke. I mean, he understands what people are fans of. He respects the Jonas Brothers. I just feel so validated right now. Go Coldplay, go Jonas Brothers. I mean, I feel really proud of my boys to be compared to my other boys. It feels good. I feel important and special, that I'm a fan of both of them. Respect. Validation. Sweetness. :)

Why Did They Make Me Choose?

Now, before I kinda had this figured out. But now I'm really unsure. Alright, first let me get you all the facts so you know.

I bought three tickets for the Jonas Brothers(me, Sam, and Jenn) for their Hershey concert on July 25th.

I bought two tickets for Coldplay(me and my mom) for their Philadelphia concert on June 26th.

Coldplay changed the date of their concert to July 25th, THE SAME DAY AS JB.

I have seen Coldplay once: April 6th, 2006.

I have seen Jonas Brothers twice: March 13th, 2008 and May 17th, 2008.

I will be seeing the Jonas Brothers again: August 30th, 2008.

Noticeably, the answer really should be self explanatory. But it really isn't. I want to see Coldplay really badly, because well, it's Coldplay. Their new album is fucking amazing. And it's been over two years since I saw them. But then there's the Jonas Brothers, who I have had tickets for longer, and they kinda got me through the death of my grandmother.

This seriously has to be the hardest decision I've ever had to make. Why, Coldplay, why? Why did you have to change your concert date? This actually really really depresses me. Because I want to see both really bad. I mean, I love the Jonas Brothers, and I love Coldplay. My mom basically wants to go without me. And if I do go to Coldplay, I have to sell my one JoBro ticket, and then owe my dad a lot of money.

Fucking bands. This just depresses me.

Perez Hilton is a Douche, Chris Martin is a God

Yep. I'm sticking by that saying. I mean, I am reading Perez's blog lately, only because I need to keep up on my celeb gossip, not because I like him. Because he clearly knows nothing about music. I don't know how the fuck he can say Coldplay's Viva La Vida "sucks." Like, what the fuck? Ugh.

Now, onto the review. :D

I'm gonna go song by song, because the cd is that fucking awesome. It truly is, dead serious. Go get the cd now. RIGHT NOW. :)

First, "Life in Technicolor." You can barely hear Chris Martin sing, it's only like a tiny tiny little bit, but it's a bursting intro with instruments. I mean it's kinda techno-y, I guess. It's hard to describe. But there's a guitar playing, and I think a mandalin? Either way, it sounds so pretty. Being the writer that I am, I love to find music that sounds really good when writing. Maybe for a scene, when I write television. The song really reminds me of an ending scene for a season premiere of a show. When I write something that I'm intending to I feel like this will be the song on repeat. It's soooooo pretty. I have always loved instrumental songs. Death Cab's "I Will Possess Your Heart" (the album version, not the radio) was so great with the four minute instrumental beginning. I love instrumentals. I really do. I live for them, they just really help me when I'm writing. I don't have to worry about lyrics interfering with what I write.

Now, onto "Cemeteries of London." I love when two songs blend into each other. Reminds me of Linkin Park's Meteora. That shit was good. A little depressing, but good nonetheless. Now, this song has a little dark feeling to it, but not too dark. Just maybe a little undertone. Reminds me of a dark night in London in like, the 1700's. As for the chorus, the lalala thing is really cool. Usually I'm not a fan of choruses being not real words, but for this, it totally works. I think that even though Chris Martin is the lead singer, he gives his band members more of the spotlight here. I can hear them lala'ing, and I love it. It feels very collaborative. I love that stuff.

Onto "Lost!". I am not the biggest fan of exclamation marks or really any ending punctuation in a song. It feels final to me, but whatever. I feel a little Kanye influence to this, at least because of the beat. It almost sounded like Chris Martin was putting an attempt up to rap. At least it wasn't full on rap. I would have died. But the chorus is really pretty, the way it builds up to it in the beginning and seamlessly goes into the normal tone of each verse. It's a little bit of a lower point for me; but that's not to say I don't like it. I really do. Maybe I'm not right in saying it's a lot point. It's just not my absolute favorite. But that does not mean I'll be skipping it, a la "White Shadows" from X&Y.

Okay, so "42" is really pretty, but I totally do not understand the title. But whatever. Someone explain it to me. Anways, it's Chris Martin and a piano and a slow tempo. What could be better? I think this is the closest to their old stuff, other than "Viva La Vida." This really feels a bit like "AROBTH"(A rush of blood to the head, to you non-CP-heads), at least the beginning does. Then it goes into a faster tempo, with I don't even know what instrument. A violin? Slide guitar? I'm thinking the latter. Either way, it kicks ass. I love the sound. It really is a perfect song. I love the slow into fast songs, like, "A Little Bit Longer" from the Jonas Brothers. This song does it a lot better, but still. I think Nick Jonas wasn't attempting this, so it's cool. And the line "You didn't get to Heaven, but you made it close" is a really neat line. I'd love to figure out what goes on in Chris Martin's head. Because I swear it's probably got the meaning of life in it. Five minutes with him is all I ask. Man, that would be my dream.

Okay, so "Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love" isn't really my favorite. But it still sounds really nice. Quick piano is so pretty, especially when those tape covered fingers are playing those keys. I totally feel like this song could be the big ending song to a love story in Japan. It really feels like that. As I listen, I enjoy it more. I don't think I can find a song I don't like or aim to skip. Yeah, I know, the fact that I skipped Coldplay songs is horrible. Forgive me. Anyways, this song is really pretty. Because once again, we have a long instrumental. Boo. Yah.
Now, the little pause between Lovers in Japan and Reign of Love I was just like huh? Why not make them two different songs? But at least it wasn't some four minute pause. I hate those. They really really piss me off. But Reign of Love is nice, I think this might be the part I'll be skipping. It sounds like something I would sing to my niece and nephew had I learned piano. It's a little too kitchy. Is that a word? I know I say it, but I also say a lot of fake words.

I think everytime I start to listen to "Yes" I'm like, I just don't know about this song. Then as it keeps going, I start loving it. The odd instrumental, and then Chris Martin's low voice. That has to be the one thing that kinda drove me insane this whole album. I mean, I know they were trying some new things out, but couldn't Chris have gone back to a higher octave like once? At least in this song. I feel like it could have been ten times better had he belted it out in a higher octave. He's just not as strong with in the lower tone. The higher one was so great, and it really could have been perfect for this song. Sigh. You can't get an absolutely perfect album. I also loved the violin in it. And I know the second my mom hears that, she will go, "Is that a violin?" in her way to point out that I could have been that violinist had I kept going. She refuses to believe that the truth was that I mad sucked. Total suckage. I could so easy stuff, but after that, it was me fake playing.
Then once again, a space and another part of the song. These four guys like seriously loved that. I don't know. The second part is okay, but the first is definitely stronger. Oh well.

Onto my favorite song, the single, "Viva La Vida." Totally is reminiscent of "Speed of Sound" only like a million times better. It's just so fucking awesome. The beginning sounds so neat, and the way the music is all a little techno'd out, is awesome. I'm used to hearing only that little bit on the itunes commercial, so the whole thing is so much better. I think I could have been able to handle the violin in there. Staccato is pretty easy. I could do it slow and they could have sped it up afterwards. The song is really pretty. I just love it. Excellent choice for single. Feels like old times, but still is new. :)

Then, right into "Violet Hill." Like I said, I love those blends. They just are great. I mean, I must have listened to this song for probably four days in a row. When I listen to it, my mind jumps back to the bunk bed in my dorm room, sleeping there and then looking out the window and spying on people. Good times.
It really is a pretty song, but I think it's a little to different to be their official first single. I'm glad they released it early though, because it signified that they have changed. Had they only released "Viva La Vida" I think huge fans would have been mad that they were led down the wrong path. Either way, it's fucking awesome. So pretty. I love "Violet Hill." :)

Ha, I seriously almost forgot about "Strawberry Swing." I can't think of anything that has to do with strawberries without my mind jumping to the Beatles. But this song is really pretty. Just reminds me of a hot summer day, chilling with people on a hill, just having fun. With bubbles too. The bubbles are the deciding factor. Or like, a long drive with the windows down and your hand making those wave movements out the window. I love it.

"Death and All His Friends" is pretty, but I think I've fallen asleep on it way too many times. So I haven't given it a long enough listen through to be fully thorough on it. But it sounds amazing, like how Coldplay always is. :) Oh, and it's like "Life in Technicolor" at the end-ish of it. I really love that song.

Overall, it may be the best album. Definitely better than X&Y, and maybe on tie with AROBTH as my favorite. But I think AROBTH will always be my favorite. Songs like "The Scientist" and "AROBTH" are just too good.

Ha, that reminded me, at work someone was like, "Gosh, everything is so complicated." And I had to do it. I was just like, "Nobody ever said it was easy." And I was so happy. The simple fact that I could do a Coldplay line in normal day occurances makes me so happy. I've done it way too much with JB.

Overall grade of CP, I'll have to agree with the lovely EW, and give it an A- :D

Oh yeah, and anyone who hates it(P-Nasty, I'm talking to you) is a Douche.

I hate Coldplay

Yes, you heard it. I hate them. Fucking bastards. I mean, I gave up Perez for their ass! And they do THIS to me?????? Fucking a. I mean, I ordered tickets to see them JUNE 29th, not July 25th. That's the same day at the Jonas Brothers!!! What the fuck??????? I mean, how dare they make me choose? Normally it would be like killer to decide, but I am opting for JoBros. They were there first, and it's a lot easier to sell two tickets than one. And plus, well, Sam and Jenn would kill me if I didn't go. Well, more like kidnap me and make me go. Like, chloroform me, shove me in the trunk, sit me in the room til I woke up, then find myself handcuffed to the vent or something. They'd be having fun at Chocolate World. Or maybe they'd drag me around. Wouldn't those be great photos.

P-Nasty, you did not just go there!!!

Dear Perez,

How dare you. I have always listened and taken most of your comments like the Bible. I mean, your words are the new Testament. The celebrity exposed one. But how dare you only say "The new Coldplay cd leaked onto the internet today. And it sucks. Sad." I mean, what the fuck, Perez??? Okay, seriously. I listened to every review and take them into consideration. Is that even a fucking review? If you're gonna say something sucks, explain why!!!! But noooo....you are just so high and mighty that you don't even have to say why it supposedly "sucks." I doubt it does, because every song I've heard was pure brilliance. And you probably gave the songs a two second listen because you are sooooo important. I mean, what the fuck? Argh. You just made me so fucking mad.
My new boycott: No reading Perez until you apologize or defend your reasons!!!!!

From,

An Ex-Fan

Loving Lovato

Okay, so before I was just like, yeah Demi Lovato is mad cool. Now I'm like, she fucking rocks. I'm addicted to the few songs I've found of hers, and like, I'm just in love. Man, Lovato! Like, for shiz. I can't do this. She's fucking 15 years old. Of course that hasn't stopped my obsession with Hannah Montana. Man, I am just way too childish. Sigh. Judge me all you want. I've accepted it. Reverted back into the little kid age. I looooove looking at Hannah Montana stuff. Not so much the High School Musical. I don't know. I just don't like the second one a whole lot. Or any of the stuff. Maybe when the third one comes out, I'll be super happy and seriously just buy out a Claire's store. Or steal it all. That Lehigh Valley worker totally knows I'm a klepto, so maybe not that one. I probably will go in and they'll be all over me. Not that I don't blame them. I did take something. Oh crap, I totally just outed myself there. Don't tell the Claire's lady! She probably found this, and reads this, and is like, "I KNEW IT!!!" And she'll go to tell her coworkers and they'll just stare. She'll be on a mission to destroy me. Great. Another person hellbent on destroying me. Sigh. Oh Coldplay commercial! Yeah, that's a little selling out, but clearly, I do not mind at all. Any time to see Coldplay is fine with me. Because they are the bomb. Wait, what was this post about? Uh...lemme check. Oh yeah, Lovato. She kicks ass. Seriously, get her songs "Open" and "Stronger." Both are like, woah. Ha, Aly & AJ reference! Score a point for me!

Ha, Jonas Brothers are just as good as Coldplay!

Look at that, look at that. Coldplay, Jonas Brothers. My two current favs. Yes! I was so excited to see that. The Jonas Brothers join the ranks with Weezer and Dave Matthews Band and Motley Crue as the hottest albums. I don't count V Hudge Pudge and Man-iara. They aren't real artists. The rest are bands. Good bands. Yay for Entertainment Weekly! They put Coldplay and JoBros near each other. I mean, yeah, they faltered with Usher as the front cover, but I'll let it go, because the Jonas Brothers were included in hot albums. I feel vindicated. Like, finally, they are in a real magazine not for their hot looks. They're in there for their MUSIC. Yeah, I know, they do play music. Crazy, huh? I know. Check out their albums.

OH! And check out my lovely friend Sam's blog!!!! http://samparker37.blogspot.com and then my friend's friend's blog: http://allegrap.blogspot.com.

I hope I got that right. lol
